EMA (Educational Maintenance Allowance)

If you are aged 16 to 18 and your family earns less than £30,810, you may be eligible for an EMA to support you while you study.

This is a means tested award of up to £30 per week, plus the possibility of £100 bonuses, paid directly into your bank account, to spend in any way you choose. Apply on-line at www.direct.gov.uk/ema.
