- the second best state school or college in Somerset for all advanced level qualifications, including A Levels and BTEC Extended Diplomas;
- the fourteenth best performing college nationally out of 343 colleges, placing us in the top 4%; and
- Strode’s students achieve the second highest overall points score per A Level student in all Somerset state schools and colleges.
Our excellent results reflect the performance of our outstanding students and staff.
Best at maximising potential
Strode is one of the top institutions in the country for improving students' performance after their GCSEs, being placed in the top five per cent of 1250 schools and colleges nationally (2012 ALPS data).
This is a quite exceptional performance for a single college and reflects why we believe Strode College offers ‘World-class learning on your doorstep'.
Advanced Level Performance Systems (ALPS) measure how well students achieve at A Level compared to what they were expected to achieved following their GCSE performance - this is often referred to as the value-added performance. This system compares performance in over 1,200 schools and colleges nationally.
