Eastwood Park is a local prison receiving female prisoners directly from court. It caters for young offenders/adults and in a separate unit juveniles sentenced and local remands. The prison holds 360 offenders with an average length of stay of 49 days.
70% of prisoners require drug rehabilitation treatment, 5% ESOL and 95% basic skills training.
The Strode college education department delivers a range of programmes including basic skills, food hygiene, cleaning operations certificate, hairdressing, manicure, beauty therapy, sewing skills, IT and preparation for self-employment.
