Tier 4 Visa System
Strode College is registered with the UK Borders Agency as a sponsor for overseas students coming to study with us. If you are a national from a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA) you must apply for permission to enter the UK to study. Nationals from outside the EEA who are resident in the EEA must still apply for permission to enter the UK.
Students from outside the EEA should apply using the College's paper or electronic forms. The College will assess your eligibility to study on the course you are applying for, based on your existing qualifications. You will also be advised of the fees for the course. The College requires a deposit of 10% of fees to be paid with your application and will require evidence of your ability to pay course fees before sponsoring your entry to the UK. Course fees will be payable in full when in you enrol on the course (unless you are using one of our agents).
If you are under 18, you may apply to study on a course leading to a qualification. If you are over 18, the course for which you are applying must lead to a minimum of a Level 3 qualification. You must apply for a full-time programme of study of a minimum of 15 hours per week.
You will need to apply to the UK Borders Agency using the electronic Sponsorship Management System. Your visa, if issued, is not transferable between educational institutions. Strode College is required to report information about students who are sponsored to study in the UK to the UK Borders Agency, including students who fail to enrol or miss lessons.
When you enrol on your programme of study, you must present your passport, ID card and immigration status document. The College is required to keep copies of these documents. If you have entered the country as a dependent of another, we must keep copies of their documents.
