Why Study at Strode?

By studying a higher education course at Strode College you will improve your career prospects and your chance of gaining employment within the South West. There are many other benefits too. We offer high quality, local, affordable higher education with excellent specialist teaching and facilities, and our smaller class sizes mean that you will get more personal attention and support. Also, if you live locally already, you can stay at home whilst you study, save on costs and remain close to family and friends. And, if you want to progress even higher with your education, there are linked Honours Degree courses at our partner Plymouth University, and we provide expert advice and help with university applications and careers guidance.

We asked our current year 1 HE students for their views on tuition fees and whether course fees of up to £6750 would have impacted on their decision to study at Strode College. 82% of students said there would be no impact on their choice of HE place of study and yes, they would still be happy to study at Strode College. At £6,500 for 2013-14, Strode’s fees are lower than most Higher Education fees in the South West and will give students the opportunity to study high quality, higher education, locally.

Satisfied Students

Strode College continually monitors the quality of all of its HE and FE provision and encourages students to give feedback through the National Student Survey and the College’s internal survey. Student satisfaction levels are in excess of the 77% national rate for HE in FE institutions.

We are committed to helping our students reach their full potential by valuing them as individuals and by providing high levels of teaching and support. We know this approach makes a real difference to our students’ satisfaction, their success and their enjoyment of the course. We also provide outstanding learning support facilities, including support for people with learning difficulties and disabilities who want to enter higher education.
