Nursery

New Opening Hours!

We now offer a service from 8.00am and up to 6.00pm Monday to Friday (please contact the Nursery for details).

Strode College Day Nursery is registered with OFSTED and provides childcare for children aged from 2 years up to school age. The service is for children of students studying at Strode College, Strode College staff and members of the local community.

Strode College Day Nursery operates from a purpose built facility. It features a secure outdoor play area and is a bright, colourful, safe environment with caring well-qualified staff.

The children are encouraged to develop their personal, social and emotional skills along with communication, language and literacy, knowledge and understanding of the world, and creative development. Physical development is part of their timetable and the children use the College's sports hall.

Partnership with parents is considered to be essential and parents are well informed about the nursery routine and activities, and have opportunities to discuss their child's progress with staff.

Following on from the excellent Ofsted report on education practice the Nursery achieved an excellent result in 2007 from Ofsted's assessment of care standards in the Nursery. Many excellent improvements have been made since 2007.

Morning session
8.45am - 1.00pm

Afternoon session
1.00pm - 5.00pm

September - July term time only

In addition we offer a service from 8.00am and up to 6.00pm Monday to Friday (additional charges apply - please see the Nursery staff for advice)

Further Information:

The fee for the academic year 2009/2010 is £14.25 per morning session and £13.40 per afternoon session. All-day is £29.40 including lunch.

There is an additional charge of £1.75 for the morning session this is to cover the cost of the cooked meal provided.

Students should contact the College Financial Advisor for details of financial assistance available to assist with childcare costs.
