In order to join an AAT course you are required to become a member of AAT. This is an annual membership and you need to organise it directly with AAT; you will be advised at your interview how to go about this (as at April 2016, the cost of AAT membership is in the region of £88). The first time you become a member you also have to pay a one-off registration fee direct to AAT (at April 2016 this fee was £45). You can find out more about AAT and its membership by visiting www.aat.org.uk.
The Level 4 AAT course is a degree level course. The entry requirement is successful completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. The demands of study and individual work patterns require a more flexible approach to Level 4, so each topic is available as a stand-alone unit. You can choose to do particular individual units to build an area of skill (this can be discussed during interview) or pass all units to complete the full Level 4 Diploma in Accounting.
You should be able to commit to excellent attendance and a significant amount of time outside of lessons to study independently.
This course normally runs on Thursdays, 1400-2030, from 15/09/16 to 22/06/17.
In addition to this, there are also two Tuesday sessions on17/01/17 and 23/05/17 at 1800-1930.

For this course you may be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan up to the value of the course fees - see below 'Financial support and loans'.
