We have highly qualified professionals teaching on our vocational programmes ranging from Social Workers, Registered General and Mental Health Nurses, chefs, sociologists, early years specialists, counsellors sports and fitness specialists and professionals in providing personalised learning.

We offer courses from Entry Level to Degree level, providing individuals with the opportunities of gaining qualifications in their chosen career whether this is part time or full time programmes of study.  Many of our full time learners have had the opportunity of work experience and sector specific visits and residentials.

Our pass rates are 100% on many courses for example, in 07/08 all the students on the BTEC National Diploma in Care passed their course and 88% had high grades compared with the national average high grades of 46%.

For our part time learners who are working in Health and Social Care we have a dedicated team of staff who work closely with both the learner and the employer to provide flexible training and education in this area.  Our success rates are outstanding in this area for example; in 07/08 all students studying their NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care passed their award, many completing in 6 months.

We also have a dedicated team of staff providing qualification for those who need help and support to gain literacy and numeracy skills.  The team works with employers to design bespoke programmes of delivery, but we also work directly with individuals designing your own individual learning plan.  The Skills for Life Team have outstanding success in this area and in 2008 they where awarded the Unionlearn Quality Award for Skills for Life provision.
