What will you do on this course?
This course is aimed at newly qualified junior stylists. You will build on your existing hairdressing skills and develop advanced skills in perming, cutting, colour correction work and creative hairdressing design skills. You will also have the opportunity to study bridal hair techniques.
Course assessment
Each unit is assessed through graded observations of practical assessments and assignments, and in order to achieve the design skills unit, participation in the annual hairdressing competition is mandatory.
Special features
Students will study in a commercial salon environment and have the opportunity to visit national trade exhibitions. Various trips and specialist guest speakers are also a feature of the course. Please see our teaching teams Hairdressing section on the website.

Entry requirements
Successful completion of either NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing or the Level 2 Diploma in Womens Hairdressing.
Costs
- Approx £100 for kit and £60 for uniform.
- Approx £250 for residential trip plus approx £50 for trip to national trade show.
