There has been a fantastic atmosphere around Strode College over the past two weeks and a great time had by everyone involved at Strode College Summer School - an exciting programme of interesting, creative and relaxing activities. 230 people enjoyed 53 workshops including a wide range of arts and creative crafts, cookery, computers, music production, history and many more.
Shirley Theedom, Strode College Assistant Principal said: “It’s been a lovely couple of weeks at college seeing so many people enjoy learning and socialising; gaining so much from working with our fantastic teachers and facilities. It can seem very quiet at college at this time of year when our students have left for the summer holidays, but there has been a great atmosphere around campus and we’ve had such a positive response from everyone.”
Eileen Boyton from Street attended the Mosaic course. She said: “I enjoy doing arts and crafts at home, but it’s lovely to come to Strode to try new things, use the specialist equipment and work with the teachers. Everything you need is here which makes it so much easier. I had a lovely time.”
