Strode News

Friends, fellow students and staff at Strode College got suited and booted today in memory of 17 year old Dave Hart who died tragically in November. They celebrated his life on the day his song 'Home' is released to raise money for Papyrus-UK, a charity that helps young people at risk of suicide, their families, friends and teachers.

The song, written and performed by Dave and his friend Jake Allen, has been released on iTunes, Amazon and through other major retailers. Money from the single will help

raise awareness of suicide among young people and encourage those at risk to talk and seek help.

Harry Booth, Dave's friend and President of Strode's Students Association, organised the event through the College and Facebook. He said: "Dave was a good friend and a great musician.  Last year he tried to get some of us to dress up in suits for the day, but there was a lack of effort on our part. But today we did it for Dave. We wanted to pay tribute to our friend and also raise awareness of his single. We want loads of people to buy it to raise funds for Papyrus-UK."
