02/12/11 - Music Technology Inspires Ideas and Careers
Strode News

Music Technology students from Strode College travelled up to Birmingham NEC last month to visit one of the largest music shows in the UK.

The BPM show is the place to go to if you are a music producer, DJ, club owner, sound system company, live sound engineer, lighting engineer, music educator or equipment developer.

Strode's students particularly enjoyed checking out the latest technology and equipment, watching a performance by DMC world champion DJ Switch, and joining a lesson in music production from the professionals.

Adrian Smith, Strode College's Music Technology Lecturer said: "The show is sure to inspire our students by opening their eyes to the latest developments in technology and the employment opportunities in the club music and music production areas of the industry. The advice and guidance available to our students direct from industry professionals at BPM is invaluable.

"A special shout goes out to Alex Constanza and Olly Beha-Burr, both from Street, and Sam Hiscox who lives in Radstock, for providing the music on the bus which made our journey an enjoyable education into the Dubstep music genre."
