Josh Eggleton, the owner of the Pony and Trap Inn, Chew Magna, came to talk to the BTEC Hospitality and Catering students about his restaurant and pub business.

Josh talked about his catering career, how he started off as a chef and how he came to buy The Pony and Trap in March 2006. He has had an interesting career, working in California and other restaurants in America. He has also worked with Gordon Ramsay!

He brought with him some sample dishes that he serves in the restaurant. These included black pudding served with apple sauce, beetroot jelly as a petit four and three layer cho chocolate cake and mousse.

The students were interested and fascinated by his talk and he encouraged them to go and work in his restaurant for work experience. It was a most worthwhile talk.
