- 19/07/11 - Beautiful Make-up
Beauty therapy students at Strode College showed off their make-up skills recently when they created 1950s and Lady GaGa looks for the College make up competition.
The competition winners were Laura Holt of South Petherton - she has just completed her level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification at Strode and will be returning to study level 3 - and Charmian Siviter from Yeovil, who achieved her level 3 qualification at Strode and will be working at New Image Salon in Yeovil.
Strode Beauty Therapy Lecturer Susan Omeara said: "The make up competition gives our beauty students the chance to put their knowledge into practice and show off the skills they have learnt during their time at Strode. We have our own commercial hair and beauty salon where the students train, practice on clients and also enjoy working with visiting professionals. I would like to thank Jane Iredale Make-up for donating prizes for the competition."
