12/05/11 - Young Musicians Showcase their Talents

If you are interested in the local music scene and you want to help our young musicians get heard, then go to a gig at the Orange Box in Yeovil at 7.30pm on Wednesday 25 May.  Local bands and musicians from Strode College will be offering something for everyone to enjoy including rock, acoustic, indie and pop.

Strode student Thomas Rotheram, from Drayton nr Langport, will be performing at the event.  He said: "I'm so excited to be a part of this showcase, we can really show what Somerset is made of!"  

Other local artists who playing at the gig include Jack Flash, Hollie Trevis and Ollie Proud, Zach Urch, Copperhead, Chelsea Paget and Taylor Made.  They are all studying BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music at Strode.

They have been recording their work at Strode College studios and many will be launching EP's at the event.

Tickets cost £3.50 on the door, so take some friends, listen to some great original music and support your local music scene.
