To celebrate Adult Learners' Week, 14 - 21 May, Strode College Computer Centre is holding free 'Silver Surfers' courses for people aged over 50.  There are three sessions on offer on Friday 20 May at 9.00am to 11.00am, 11.30am to 1.30pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm.

Nadine Norman, Manager of the Strode Computer Centre said: "These relaxed and supportive sessions are for people who are interested in using the Internet, emailing, using a digital camera and scanning images.  Previous Silver Surfers have found them really useful and enjoyable, so I'm hoping to introduce some more people to the benefits of using modern technologies in everyday life.  For example, finding out how to use the Internet to shop safely online and to compare prices, or how to create an e-mail account and use it to stay in touch with friends and family.  To book a place call: 01458 844480."

Strode College is encouraging people to take time during Adult Learners' Week to find out about the hundreds of courses they offer for all ages and abilities in a wide range of subjects and activities, including the new Summer School which runs from 11-22 July.

Strode's website gives details of all courses and activities currently on offer for adult learners with details of courses starting in September coming soon:
