- 15/11/10 - Students and Staff Remember Those Who Died at War
Strode College students and staff stopped work on Thursday 11 November to observe two minutes silence and remember those who have lost their lives at war.
The ceremony, which took place in front of the College, was an opportunity to pay respects to those who have died at war and to reflect on conflict and the meaning of Remembrance Day.
The Strode Student Association laid a poppy wreath, staff member and trumpeter Byron Joce sounded the last post, and the ceremony finished with students Sam Frost and Faye Graham reading from the Laurence Binyon poem 'For the fallen'.
