Summer School for Adults

This year, we are holding our Summer School for Adults from 8 - 19 July 2013 and with 48 workshops, you'll be sure to find something that interests you!

Felt Scarves SessionThe Strode College Summer School for Adults is an exciting programme of workshops covering a broad range of subjects, such as creative crafts, card games, music production, book binding, social media, writing fiction, history, beauty therapy, textiles and more.

Activities are aimed at adult participants and make full use of the fantastic specialist facilities the College has to offer. Some of the workshops are split into sessions running over 2 to 4 days.

About our courses

Courses are held in Strode College campus (Church Road, Street, Somerset) and will be roomed in suitable classes or studios, to fit the activity.

Free car parking is available.

Course fee includes tuition and materials (where appropriate) A light lunch, tea and coffee is provided.

Students do not need to bring anything unless specified on the course description, though they may, if they wish, bring any personal items relevant to their course. If students are taking part in practical workshops (e.g. pottery, painting etc) then suitable clothing should be worn. Any personal protective equipment (aprons etc) can be provided. If students have any special dietary requirements (e.g. Coeliac) or mobility difficulties please email jdeakin@strode-college.ac.uk putting ‘Dietary Requirements’ in the subject line.

 

How to book

Book online at any time by finding the desired course here and clicking through to the Strode Theatre on-line booking system.

Alternatively, ring the box office 01458 442846 between 10.00am and 2.00pm Monday to Saturday, book in person (between 10.00am and 2.00pm Monday to Saturday) or book by post to Strode Theatre, Strode College, Church Road, Street, Somerset BA16 0AB.

Please state the number of places to be booked, your address and specify the course code of the workshop concerned. Make cheques payable to ‘Strode College’. Please note there is a transaction charge of £1 on all credit/debit card and cheque payments.

Places can be booked whilst workshops are live on the website. We reserve the right to close non-viable groups. If this happens students will be contacted and refunds processed.

 

After booking

Students will receive a confirmatory email if they have booked on-line. Tickets confirming the workshop date and places booked will be dispatched.

Students need to come to the Theatre foyer 15 minutes before their scheduled workshop start time.

 

Cancellations/No Shows

Cancellations would not normally attract a refund unless exceptional circumstances apply. Please ask for further information.
